2017 National Consensus Conference update

Date Posted: 14-Jun-2017

Enhancing Quality & Safety: Spiritual Care in Health
On August 17, twenty people (representing 16 organisations) gathered for a national meeting to progress the outcomes of the Consensus Conference. This meeting confirmed the Principles for Design and Delivery of Spiritual Care Services and the Policy Statements and committed to promoting these principles and statements within their organisations. Work is continuing to ensure that the national policy and advocacy agenda proceeds. The 2017 National Consensus Conference Report has now been distributed to all State and Territory Health Ministers and Shadow Health Ministers. In Victoria an electronic copy of the report was emailed to CEOs of health services. A copy of the report is available here. Preliminary contact has been made with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. For further information or to engage with the national agenda contact Cheryl Holmes at SHV
