Capability Framework for Spiritual Care Practitioners in Health Services

Date Posted: 08-Mar-2017

In May Cheryl Holmes (CEO) and Heather Tan (Manager Education & Research) attended the annual SCA conference in Gold Coast where they presented a workshop about SHV’s recently published Capability Framework for Spiritual Care Practitioners in Health Services.
This workshop was very well attended by delegates from across Australia and New Zealand. The participants engaged with the framework with an enthusiasm for identifying ways in which it could support the on-going development of quality spiritual care within the models of care that currently operate at their sites of work. This was reflective of the broader vision of their roles and the potential for further development which participants brought to the task.
If there are groups of leaders/managers or spiritual care practitioners who would like to organise a short workshop (about 2 hours) for exploring this framework and its application to their work place we would be happy to work with you on this. Please contact Heather Tan to arrange this at
